Resources for Private School Students with Disabilities

In Florida, a parentally-placed private school student with a disability is a student with a disability whose parents choose to enroll them in a private school, including religious schools. Private schools may be non-profit or for-profit.

These students are not enrolled in the Local Educational Agency (LEA), so they do not receive a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) through an Individual Educational Plan (IEP).
